UNITED KINGDOM FOREVER

As an experienced painter, Illustrator and Designer with over 8 years of experience, and a member of the Society of Illustrators in New York, I have a proven track record of success from various art competitions won including scholarships, ensuring high-quality detailed work. In my role as Paint Instructor at Muse, I was responsible for leading and managing multiple groups of over 20 people by teaching different painting techniques. I have an associate's degree in Graphic Design from Nassau Community College and am working towards a bachelor's. I have strong attention to detail, most of my digital work is through Adobe Illustrator.

For this project, I had to make a collection of illustration stamps for the United Kingdom. When I researched the United Kingdom, I fell in love with their history of kings and queens, during the mid-evil century and I wanted to bring that back. The first stamp illustrates a knight with a shield and sword in the midst of battle. His statue is shown by the silver and bronze in his armor and his weapons. The second illustration is of a king having his crown as the centerpiece, being the clearest and most tamed representing how statues and wealth bring power and control.
Finally, the third piece is the queen. This is represented by the Royal solid gold cup with red smudged lipstick and royal blue nails. I did the most recent search for the queen then for the rest of the groups because I wanted to represent her beauty, elegance, and grace without overshadowing her king. The original idea was to create a golden corset wrapped around her waist and elevating her bosom, but I concluded that it would’ve overly sexualized her ruining her elegance.
